I am a Bible Story Ninja-in-training, and this blog is about me sharing what I'm learning along the way.
My posts will focus on equipping Children's Ministry storytellers in any size church and helping leaders of larger churches craft amazing large group programs.
Here’s what you can expect to find on Bible Story Ninja:
Mad Storytelling Skills – We’ll focus on the specific techniques you can learn to become a Bible Story Ninja. Whatever size church, whatever size budget, whatever size you – this stuff works!
Curriculum Adaptation – Most people don’t have the luxury of writing curriculum from scratch. If that’s you, we’ll talk about developing the right filters for taking any lesson from zero to hero in no time flat.
Creativity Explosion – If you do write your own stuff, or you just want to develop your creative muscles, we’ll roll up our sleeves and dig up all the dirt about how we can all become more creative in communicating with kids.
Large Group Programs – If you’re in a kids’ worship setting, the Bible story is just one element in several key ingredients that have to work together to deliver the message. We’ll talk about worship, drama, transitions and more.
Bells and Whistles – In teaching communicators, I’m all about street skills, things you can learn to do even if you don’t have any tech or money. But, if you do have tech, if you do some cool facilities, we’ll talk about the icing on the cake, the stuff you can layer on top of street skills to take it to the moon.
Motivation – Without the right motivation you won’t put the time in to become a Bible Story Ninja. I’ll feed you plenty of stories along the way to help keep you hungry and growing.
Resources – I want to share with you the absolute BEST resources I can find out there. Not just stuff about how to do it, but free lessons, scripts and more that I've produced over the years.
Scripture - Finally, since this is a blog about bringing God’s word to life, you can bet your nunchucks we’ll wear our Bibles out searching for what God has to say about the all the topics that are relevant to kid-communicators like us.
